DataFest Kampala 2021
summary
The 2021 event was a 2-day marathon, held under the theme Living with Data, to bring the discussion back to the ordinary internet user. We curated a conversation around how data impacts us on a daily basis, insight into how data-driven companies use the data they get from the people while exercising decentralization of the idea of data from a technical aspect to a more mainstream audience, and participation. We saw how we live with data and how the availability of new datasets has changed the way we live our lives, from the orders we make online, the sign-ups we do to the purchases we make, inform decisions for big data companies, and data-centered organizations.
